A painter of nature,
a sculptor of trees
VITALIE ZUBCO
Born in the Republic of Moldova in 1970.
Fascinated by painting from an early age, he pursued a path in art after many challenges.
He studied at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, China, where he refined his practice and developed a unique style that blends Eastern and Western aesthetics.
He later moved to Japan, where he was profoundly moved by the beauty of Japanese gardens and chose the path of tending and shaping trees
While still unfamiliar with the language, he dedicated himself to years of training, learning to engage deeply with nature and master its subtle rhythms.
Now based in Fukuyama, Hiroshima, he continues to engage with nature through both painting and the careful pruning of trees—especially pines—…
pursuing the essence of landscape.
His works can be found in collections across the world.
